"Break...break...break...break..."

Sunday, March 11th, 2007: My favorite small venue: Axis, Boston

I was here to see The Cinematics (opening act) because of their hit single "Break", but most of the crowd was here to see Mute Math. I hadn't heard of Mute Math before, but when the lead singer of the Cinematics announced that they will be signing posters at their merch table at the end of the show, I couldn't resist but stick around. Good thing I did because Mute Math is rather entertaining to watch. The stage wasn't large enough to contain the craziness of their act - great energy.

Opening Acts

I really need to pay more attention to opening acts...

- OK GO (recent blog entry) opened for Coldplay back in 2002 at the Orpheum with Zwan (it's amazing how Coldplay just ballooned shortly thereafter)
- hellogoodbye opened for the All-American Rejects almost 2 years ago (blog entry)

and I really like their music. I just haven't followed them since seeing them the first time. But it's fantastic they've gotten bigger and better the past few years.

hellogoodbye was just on Leno a couple nights ago, performed "Here (In Your Arms)"
