This was probably our last concert at Avalon (and in Boston), and although it was rather torturous waiting and standing, getting sicker by the minute - and I mean flu-like symptoms (fatigue, fever...), it was fantastic! Hellogoodbye certainly delivered as well as Hush and Boys Like Girls. We got there about 40 minutes before start time, and the place was already packed. Rarely are there so many people that show up for the opening bands, but they were both really good. So much for getting a clear view, but I was able to stand on a step for that extra 8 or so inches.
I didn't remember any of the songs they performed about 2 years ago at Axis, which I'm sure they performed here as well, but having actually listened to their music before their show, I did know several of the songs this time.

Here (In Your Arms)
Watch the entire performance of "Here (In Your Arms)" - talk about dance partay! All the other bands came out and joined the festivities. Thanks Brian for maintaining a steady hand the entire time. I was pretty much going nuts next to him, but that's NOT me singing/shouting in the background...
In rare form, I started heading out after they finished, not even thinking that there would be an encore since it was such a fantastic performance. Luckily though, I wasn't the only one to move, so when Brian was like "Where are you going?", the platform in front of me opened up, and I scrambled on having a great view of the stage. Hellogoodbye started their encore, but then soon changed the song to Blink-182's "Dammit"! Everyone was going nuts, and they covered it very well.
